About the Role:
Provides unique client service experience to high-net-worth Private Bank clients. Responsible for opening and maintaining private bank client's various accounts through comprehensive service request fulfillment. High net worth clients increase non-interest income, product/service penetration and client retention to Umpqua Bank.
- Provides daily management of all deposit and loan details for Private Bank high net worth clients, including individuals, legal specialty firms, and not-for-profit organizations.
- Maintains direct contact with both internal and external professional service providers and Private Banking clients to resolve all service and product requests and maintenance needs. Follows through on commitments and communicates realistic expectations to clients and partners.
- Participates in client and prospect research to help prepare for calls with the Private Wealth Advisors and Private Bankers.
- Ensures account opening, delivery and maintenance for deposit products; reviews and monitors documents for accuracy, completeness and adherence to approval conditions and compliance regulations.
- Prepares and maintains internal client and data management reports. Works with attorneys and other financial or legal resources to obtain correct and accurate documentation.
- Provides accurate and timely responses to letters and phone calls to ensure quality customer service.
- Schedules marketing opportunities with internal and external business partners.
- Comply with all Federal, State, and local consumer protection laws governing loan origination including the SAFE Act, the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), their implementing regulations (Regulations G and Z), and SAFE Act registration and renewal rules as defined by the bank.
- Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
- Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
- Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
- May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.

About You:
- H.S. Diploma/GED, required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing or equivalent, preferred.
- 2-4 years Client facing experience in Private Banking or related banking/client service experience required.
- Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Exemplary communication (written and verbal), time management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to master and retain new skills and concepts with ease.
- Must have a basic understanding of Private Banking and Wealth Management
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage internal and external customer expectations and relationships.
- Proven track record effectively managing competing priorities.
- Proficiency with personal computers and related software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
- This position requires you to act as a Bank MLO, which is defined as an individual authorized by the Bank to take mortgage loan applications, offer a mortgage, arrange a mortgage, assist a consumer in obtaining or applying to obtain a mortgage, negotiate a mortgage, otherwise obtain or make a mortgage for another person, represent to the public (through advertising or other means of communication) that such person can or will perform any of these activities, or refer a consumer to a loan originator (Note: Except those employees of the Bank who do not discuss particular credit terms available and do not refer the consumer, based on the employee’s assessment of the consumer’s financial characteristics to a particular Bank MLO) for compensation or gain. All MLOs will be required to register as an MLO complying with the SAFE Act requirements.
- This position IS NOT authorized to act as a Bank Closed-End MLO, which is defined as any position designated to perform the activities of a Bank MLO for closed-end transactions, and thus subject to specific Truth-in-Lending Act and Regulation Z Loan Originator requirements.
Workstyle: Fully onsite.

The pay range for this role is $26.00 – $33.00, and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
